New Blog for Brides!

Since I have been selling so many of my wedding theme cards on Etsy, I have decided to launch a new blog dedicated to wedding color combos inspired by my card orders. It will also have cool Etsy wedding finds and wedding theme treasury. Please join me there too! Don't worry I will still keep blogging here about Etsy, Sock Creatures, card making and whatever I randomly think about.

The new blog is called "Be My Bridesmaid"
Happy Halloween!

PDCC42 and Etsy Inspired 101 combined challenge

This is the second week I have combined these two challenges together. It seems to double my inspiration. So thank you to both Play Date Cafe and Etsy Inpired Blogs for hosting these super fun challenges.

My Card:

The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week is this great color scheme. (Love the photo too, but who need THAT many camels?)

For Etsy Inspired the inspiration is this adorable shop called Lover Dovers. I love the retro deer in the christmas apron. The Snow White inspired apron reminded me of Snow White in the woods with all the woodland creatures...

Speaking of Christmas.... I am having a summer clearance in MY Etsy shop to clear out some of my Christmas stock. Please take a look!

Check out all the other great entries on both blogs. Thanks for looking, your comments are always welcome!

Etsy Inspired Challenge #100 & Embellish Magazine

Quick Announcement! I am doing my first Blog Giveaway, you can enter HERE. The prize is a card package from my Etsy shop. Not many have entered yet so you have a good chance to win!

Now on to the Challenge!
Congrats to Etsy inspired blog for their 100th challenge! Participating in these challenges has helped me so much in "unblocking" a clogged creative pipe in my head. Thank you for providing these great challenges and introducing me to such great Etsy Shops!
I wanted to do a combined challenge. I wanted to be true to both challenges (which is a challenge in itself). So this week I combined with a great challenge from Embellish Magazine. See their great blog HERE.

My Card:

For the Etsy Inspired challenge the shop is Cathy Walters. She makes super cute pendants. All the items were so beautiful I actually picked more than one for inspiration.

Embellish Magazine's challenge was this gorgeous color pallet and birds.

I am especially proud of this card because I actually scanned in a bird image from a bird field guide I bought at half price books for $2. I combined it with a beautiful font I have and printed it on watercolor paper. I am really happy with how it turned out.

Thanks for taking a look. Be sure to check out my Etsy Shop!

Etsy Inspired Challenge Blog strikes again with a super talented artist and shop. This shop is called My Zoetrop.

So from this shop my inspiration is:

Doesn't that cupcake look happy? I would look happy eating a cupcake! So for my birthday I want loads of cupcakes...

Etsy Inspired Challenge #88 and 15 Subscribers!

First... a huge Thank You to all the new subscribers to my blog. I am enjoying posting and getting to know such nice people. I am having such a great sense of community. So thanks again!

Ok... now onto this weeks Etsy Inspired Challenge. The inspiration shop this week is called Made by Michelle Bursegaard. What an extremely talented designer! You need to check out her shop.

I have been planning to make a "will you be my bridesmaid" card for my Etsy shop for a while now. But I have been a little stuck. Well Michelle's shop had just the inspiration I needed. Check out these great photo's and paintings of vintage and handmade Barbi dresses.

I couldn't think of a better inspiration for my "will you be my Bridesmaid" cards!
