PDCC42 and Etsy Inspired 101 combined challenge

This is the second week I have combined these two challenges together. It seems to double my inspiration. So thank you to both Play Date Cafe and Etsy Inpired Blogs for hosting these super fun challenges.

My Card:

The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week is this great color scheme. (Love the photo too, but who need THAT many camels?)

For Etsy Inspired the inspiration is this adorable shop called Lover Dovers. I love the retro deer in the christmas apron. The Snow White inspired apron reminded me of Snow White in the woods with all the woodland creatures...

Speaking of Christmas.... I am having a summer clearance in MY Etsy shop to clear out some of my Christmas stock. Please take a look!

Check out all the other great entries on both blogs. Thanks for looking, your comments are always welcome!

CAS - tastic and PDCC 41 Combined Challenge

Before I get into the challenge I am hosting my first GIVEAWAY on my blog! Not many people have entered so you still have a great chance to win. The prize is a card package from my Etsy shop.

Now on to the challenge:
Since I am all about foxes right now, I had to use a fox for this card. I combined two challenges this time. I very excited about both.

For the CAS-tastic challenge (see their super cute blog HERE). They had 4 cards for inspiration (so hard to choose!). I chose this one by their design team member Maylee, she the inspiration card HERE.

For The Play Date Cafe Challenge (see their awesome blog HERE) the challenge is to use this great color palette.

So here is my card!!

Thanks for peeking!

My first Blog Giveaway - Play Along! Mystery Treasury

Okay I made this treasury and admittedly it is not that cohesive. But I tried to make it fun. It represents a mystery subject. Can you guess what it is?

For a better view of the treasury click HERE!

Post a comment with your guess. Everyone that guesses correctly will be entered in a drawing. The prize is the "Build your own Card Set of 5" from my Etsy shop (a $10 value)! You can pick 5 cards already in my shop or ask me to make something custom for you. I will pick the winner on Friday!

Be sure to check out these awesome shops included in the mystery treasury. (These shop owners are encouraged to play along!)

Thanks for taking a look and playing along! Good Luck!

Etsy Inspired Challenge #100 & Embellish Magazine

Quick Announcement! I am doing my first Blog Giveaway, you can enter HERE. The prize is a card package from my Etsy shop. Not many have entered yet so you have a good chance to win!

Now on to the Challenge!
Congrats to Etsy inspired blog for their 100th challenge! Participating in these challenges has helped me so much in "unblocking" a clogged creative pipe in my head. Thank you for providing these great challenges and introducing me to such great Etsy Shops!
I wanted to do a combined challenge. I wanted to be true to both challenges (which is a challenge in itself). So this week I combined with a great challenge from Embellish Magazine. See their great blog HERE.

My Card:

For the Etsy Inspired challenge the shop is Cathy Walters. She makes super cute pendants. All the items were so beautiful I actually picked more than one for inspiration.

Embellish Magazine's challenge was this gorgeous color pallet and birds.

I am especially proud of this card because I actually scanned in a bird image from a bird field guide I bought at half price books for $2. I combined it with a beautiful font I have and printed it on watercolor paper. I am really happy with how it turned out.

Thanks for taking a look. Be sure to check out my Etsy Shop!

Etsy Treasury, Etsy Front Page & Craftopolis

Bragging Alert!

Etsy Treasuries are working for me lately! I was included in a treasury that made it to the front page. It was my Bird on a cupcake card. My views dramatically increased! I also got to use the "This item was on the front page of Etsy" button on my item! Yipee!

My page views on this day were way more than I usually get! It was on July 4th. If you are wondering what this screen shot is, it is Craftopolis analytics that tracks Etsy sales and other things. I like it even more than Google Analytics.

Next cool thing I made a Treasury call "Notions" and it was featured on the front page!
It got 58 comments (I usually get like 10 tops). I don't know if you can see from the screen shot. But several items were sold the day the treasury made the front page. This really makes me feel good about making treasuries and helping other Etsy folks get exposure.

Ok so last thing to brag about... Since these two events people have been including me in their treasuries. I am currently included in 4 treasuries! Again this screen shot is from Craftopolis.

So to sum it up... Make treasuries! It is fun and helps out your fellow artists and crafters. AND make sure to check out Craftopolis.
